CNA- Patient Care Tech - Med/Surg (3 12 hour shifts 7p-7:30 am)

All patients are properly identified with armbands.
Responds to patient's needs in a timely manner. Prioritizes work assignments.
Delivers personal care with consideration of the patient's individual needs and related to their diagnosis, age, degree of disability, etc.
Provides for safe movement, positioning, and transfer of patient.
Performs bedside procedures such as monitor application, oxygen administration, glucometer readings, phlebotomy draws, foley catheter insertion/discontinuation, and dressing applications.
Patient's environment is kept clean, organized, and orderly.
Performs tasks and completes documentation of care per established policies.
Communicates all pertinent patient activities or requests to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
Collection of specimens is done accurately.
Maintains the patient's medical record and department log books with accuracy and clarity.
Processes physician orders with accuracy.
Coordinates through put of patients to other departments/facilities assuring that appropriate contacts are made and appropriate paperwork accompanies the patient.
Ensures that all supplies and equipment necessary for the care of the patient and proper functioning of the department, are readily available.
Assures proper registration information is obtained prior to discharging patients from Emergency Room.
Accurately enters patient charges and reviews daily charges in both departments to assure accuracy.
Collects/processes specimens following established procedures.
Performs waved procedures used in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Reports results.
Performs quality control as well as instrument maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
High School graduate or equivalent
Certified Nurses Assistant
Basic Life Support Provider
EMS experience helpful but not mandatory

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
